Predicted bathroom design trends for 2021

Here at RWM Plumbing and Gas, we are leading bathroom design and installation professionals, as well as professional heating and gas engineers. As a result, we have produced this guide to the predicted bathroom design trends for 2021.

What are the biggest predicted bathroom design trends for 2021?

There are a number of bathroom design trends that are predicted to be big in the new year. These include:

  • Fitted bathroom furniture- fitted bathroom furniture is already a popular option for many homeowners and property developers. This bathroom furniture combines a range of different bathroom storage cabinet options, including tall cabinets and storage benches, as well as the sink and the toilet. This can help save space dramatically in any bathroom, and it can make the most use of the space that is available in a bathroom of any size, large or small.
  • Blended colour schemes- gone are the days when a bathroom was only a white suite or space. In the upcoming year, we will see a range of combinations and blended colour schemes. These can be subtle with just a hint of colour within the bathroom tiles, or it can be bold with deeper, richer colours used for furniture or fittings.
  • Green in bathrooms- in the upcoming year, green is predicted to become much more common throughout bathrooms. However, this will probably avoid the avocado green bathroom suites of the 1970s and 1980s, with deep emerald greens being preferred. Lime green is also an option for contemporary bathroom trends too.
  • Natural design features- bathrooms in 2021 are also predicted to use a number of key natural design features including stone effect tiling, timber effect tiling and work surfaces, and metal finishing touches in copper or brass.
